Suggested 7-Day Itinerary
Here’s a suggested 7-day luxury Himalayan retreat that balances boutique stays, soft adventure and unhurried downtime. It can be customised for couples, families or small private groups.
Day 1 – Arrival in the Foothills
Arrive in Chandigarh and drive into the Himalayan foothills to a chic retreat near Shimla or Mashobra—a scenic journey of approximately 115 km taking 3.5–4 hours. Unwind with terrace high tea, mountain views and a relaxed dinner with regional Himachali flavours.
Day 2 – Shimla Heritage & Colonial Charm
After a leisurely breakfast, explore Shimla’s colonial-era charm on a private walking tour along the Ridge and Mall Road. Visit heritage sites, pause at a valley-view café, then return for sunset cocktails and a chef-curated tasting menu.
Day 3 – Forest Walks & Mountain Picnics
Join your naturalist guide for a gentle forest walk through pine and deodar woods with time for birdwatching and photography. Enjoy a luxury picnic at a scenic clearing, then return for spa time and a quiet evening by the fireplace.
Day 4 – Drive to the Higher Himalayas
Drive to the higher Himalayas around Narkanda or Thanedar—approximately 60 km over 2–3 hours—pausing at viewpoints and villages en route. Check into a hillside boutique lodge and soak in uninterrupted snow-peak views from your balcony or outdoor jacuzzi.
Day 5 – Apple Orchards & Local Life
Ease into the day with a slow breakfast before walking through apple orchards (seasonal) and visiting a small village or temple. Add a short hike, cycling trail or golden-hour photography session, then enjoy a farm-to-table dinner with local produce.
Day 6 – Wellness & Unscheduled Time
Begin with guided yoga or meditation overlooking the mountains, followed by a nourishing breakfast and unscheduled time for spa, reading or simply enjoying the views. Choose an optional half-day trek or horse ride, and close with a private candlelit dinner under the stars.
Day 7 – Last Morning & Departure
Savour a final leisurely breakfast and last stroll around the property before your private transfer back to the airport. The journey to Chandigarh is approximately 180–200 km, taking 5–6 hours depending on route and road conditions. Optionally extend your retreat with added days in Dharamshala, Kashmir or another Himalayan valley for a deeper escape.
Note: Driving distances and times are approximate and can vary with traffic, weather and road conditions, especially during winter and monsoon months in the Himalayas.
