A quiet-luxury Golden Triangle journey designed for families and older couples, with shorter daily drives, generous downtime, and handpicked hotels throughout.
This is a sample quiet‑luxury itinerary for families and older couples. We’ll tailor the pacing, hotel choices and experiences to your interests, mobility and travel dates. Weather across the Golden Triangle varies by season, and we plan each journey around comfort — especially for families and older couples.
Day 1 – Arrive in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and settle into a well-located luxury hotel with spacious rooms and a pool. Depending on energy levels, enjoy a gentle evening walk in Lutyens’ Delhi or an early dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 – Old & New Delhi, at an easy pace
Explore Old Delhi by private car and cycle-rickshaw, with a curated visit to Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk. After lunch, drive past India Gate and the Presidential Palace, ending with a quiet stop at Lodhi Garden before returning to the hotel to rest.
Day 3 – Delhi to Agra – the Taj Mahal at sunset
Drive to Agra (~210 km / 3.5–4 hours), with a comfort stop en route. Check into a luxury hotel with Taj views, rest by the pool, then visit Mehtab Bagh or a quieter viewpoint for your first, uncrowded look at the Taj at sunset.
Day 4 – Taj Mahal at dawn, Agra Fort & drive to Ranthambore
Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise with a private guide, returning to the hotel for a late breakfast and rest. Later, explore Agra Fort before continuing by road to Ranthambore (~260 km / 5–6 hours), arriving in time for a calm dinner at your safari lodge.
Day 5 – Ranthambore safaris & lodge downtime
Enjoy a relaxed morning safari in Ranthambore National Park, with a private jeep where possible. Spend the warmest hours back at the lodge with a long lunch and siesta, then an optional second drive
Day 6 – Ranthambore to Jaipur – arrival in the Pink City
After a slow breakfast, drive to Jaipur (~180 km / 3.5–4 hours) and check into a heritage palace or boutique hotel with gardens and a pool. Late afternoon, take a short orientation drive through the old city and a sunset stop on a rooftop terrace or at a viewpoint.
Day 7 – Amber Fort, Jaipur at leisure & departure
Visit Amber Fort in the cooler morning hours using jeeps up to the fort to minimise walking. After a relaxed lunch, enjoy free time for light shopping or simply resting at the hotel before driving back to Delhi (~270 km / 5–6 hours) or taking a short flight onward.

best time to visit
- October–March (peak season) – Clear skies, warm sunny days and cooler evenings make this the most comfortable time for Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur, ideal for sightseeing and safari drives.
- April & September (shoulder season) – Warmer temperatures but fewer crowds and good value. We plan earlier starts, air‑conditioned vehicles and more pool/down time in the middle of the day.
- May–June (hot season) – Very hot, often above 40°C in the day. Generally not ideal for older travellers or young children, but possible with carefully timed touring, strong air‑conditioning and short days out.
- July–August (monsoon) – Short, often intense showers, greener landscapes and higher humidity. Better for relaxed hotel‑based stays; some safari zones in Ranthambore may close or have limited access depending on park schedules.
