Itinerary

Welcome aboard! 

On arrival, transfer from Anchorage airport to your hotel. After check-in rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Anchorage.

Morning check-out and transfer to Anchorage Railway Station to board Alaska Rail Road to Talkeetna. Sit back and enjoy the scenic beauty through large picture windows. You can enjoy wildlife and magnificent views of Mt. Denali. Three hours into the trip marks one of the most spectacular views of McKinley. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed on Talkeetna Wilderness Jet Boat Safari. The safari offers opportunities to view nesting bald eagles, beaver activity, moose and bear in their natural habitat. Overnight in Talkeetna

Morning check-out and transfer to Talkeetna Railway Station to board Alaska Rail Road to Denali. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife and magnificent views of Mt. McKinley. Before arriving at Denali Park you will pass though Broad Pass, the highest point on the Alaska Railroad at 2,363 feet. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Evening opportunity to go on a glacier flight seeing or glacier landing tour. Overnight in Denali

Early morning proceed on Denali Tundra Tour. Everything about Denali National Park is big: the scenery, the mountains, the incredible beauty and the animals. The Tundra Wilderness Tour is an excellent tour for those who are seeking the opportunity to scout for wildlife such as moose, bear, wolves, caribou, Dall sheep and more. The fully narrated 53-mile Tundra Wilderness Tour into Denali National Park is led by a certified naturalist driver who will also provide historical and geographical background of the area. Overnight in Denali 

Morning check-out and transfer to Denali Railway Station to board Alaska Rail Road to Fairbanks. Immediately upon departing Denali you will enter the scenic Nenana River Canyon, a popular spot for whitewater rafting. Before reaching Fairbanks, the train crosses the Tanana River on one of the world’s longest single-span bridges. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Fairbanks

Morning proceed for a trip through Alaska’s gold mining history on the Gold Dredge Tour. Ride the Tanana Valley Railroad for an adventure into the gold fields of the interior. Enjoy a close up view of the Trans-Alaska pipeline and information displays about the pipeline. A short train with live commentary takes you to Gold Dredge where you will see first-hand how the dredge worked the gold fields. After a short gold mining course, grab your own ‘poke’ filled with pay dirt and try your hand at panning for gold! Afternoon check-out and transfer to Fairbanks airport to connect your flight to onward destination.
